European City Facility Launches New Website

On 27 September 2024, the European City Facility launched a new website to showcase the stories of its beneficiaries, highlighting how they are working for the local energy transition. This launch comes just before the 7th Call of the European City Facility and is designed to support the upcoming task of sharing the best, most inspiring, and most impactful local stories of change.

The new website features an updated library of resources, including the EUCF Impact Report covering the first four calls, and a tagging system that allows visitors to find content based on their specific interests. The website also presents ‘EUCF Insights’, which were produced as part of Horizon 2020.

The main objective of the new website is to support the EUCF’s transition from primarily being a “call facility” to becoming a facility for capacity building, best practices, and knowledge sharing in support of local energy investment. The updated site allows for greater emphasis on learnings, impactful examples, and key takeaways.

The website now presents a selection of examples which will grow in the coming years, focusing primarily on results based on the work done by local authorities after taking part in the EUCF. It should inspire other local authorities with valuable outcomes and best practices, offering deeper understanding and context.

Any comments or suggestions about the website can be shared via the contact point listed below.
